The 2025–2026 Faith Formation Program has concluded. We thank all of our students, families, catechists, and volunteers for a wonderful year of faith and learning. Registration information for the 2026–2027 Faith Formation Program will be available in August 2026. Please check back for updates and announcements.

Faith Formation: Grades 1–8
At St. Benedict, faith is a way of life. Rooted in the Eucharist and centered in the home, our program helps families grow as disciples of Jesus.
Sessions meet twice a month at Our Lady of Fatima and/or Church of the Resurrection and include family meals, engaging activities, online resources and student classes (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Thursday(bilingual) classes).
Sacramental Prep:
Students preparing for First Communion and Reconciliation attend one extra class per month (Thursday) for sacramental preparation.
Confirmation Preparation
Archbishop Christopher Coyne, in consultation with the Presbyteral Council, has announced that the age for receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Archdiocese of Hartford will be lowered from 10th grade to 8th grade.
This transition will be implemented gradually over the next two years, beginning in Fall 2026. The change is part of the Archdiocese’s ongoing efforts to strengthen faith formation and better accompany young people in their journey of discipleship.
25-26 December and April Required Assignments
Please select and complete one assignment from December and one assignment from April. Both assignments must be completed and submitted to fulfill this requirement.
